Neničková, Hana ; Čapek, Jan (referee) ; Koráb, Vojtěch (referee) ; Molnár, Zdeněk (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is to build a business analysis methodology for the implementation of information systems in telecommunication enterprises in Czech Republic. This methodology is composed by qualitative research - grounded theory, supplemented by quantitative research and secondary research using an available literature. In the preparation of the methodology I have used the current needs of telecommunications companies, which are characterized mainly by high dependence on information systems, high flexibility, competition and shortening of the corporate strategy timeline. Business analysis in the telecommunications is mainly based on the strategic objectives and its task is to compile and analyze the business requirements that should be reflected in the new (upgraded) information systems while transforming strategic objectives into specific requirements for the operation of this system. Those systems should help fulfill strategic objectives. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part I was focuses mainly on the definition of terms, as well as the general methodology for conducting business analysis and their relationships with process and project management used in the implementation of information systems in telecommunications. Also I identified and explained the used research methods. The second part is focused on primary research. To obtain data the research was carried out interviews with 18 respondents from the telecommunications industry and their statements were subjects for quantitative and qualitative research. The data obtained were conceptualized, categorized and then coded into the resulting methodology. The thesis also includes a proposal for the use of the methodology in theory, practice and teaching.
Self-concept of Contemporary Czech Sports Journalists
Chladová, Marta ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Waic, Marek (referee) ; Waschková Císařová, Lenka (referee)
The profession of sports journalists, according to the literature, is in various ways outside the standards of journalistic practice. The content, form and importance of their work is often questioned. Sports editorial offices tend to work according to rules that are not typical of the rest of the media; they operate in a 'world of their own'. This dissertation reveals how sports journalists themselves perceive their profession. The qualitative research, based on in-depth interviews with former and active sports journalists from different types of media, describes their work in general terms and highlights the unique features of the profession that might enlighten their position in the journalistic hierarchy and identify any specifics that the journalists themselves perceive as relevant. The grounded theory method has been used for the analysis, through which the thesis defines the central and other major themes that resonate in and out of academia and co-create the image of sports journalists. The main aim of the research is to answer the question what the professional self-concept of Czech sports journalists is. The dissertation is a summary of findings concerning the everyday life of Czech sports journalists, with an emphasis on the characteristics of the key specifics of their profession and...

How schools can motivate students into reading
Smrčková, Eva ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Starý, Karel (referee)
This work focuses on child readers, specifically on their motivation to read. We still have many children who like to read, but there are also more and more children who are not very interested in books. The motivation of children is important from the toddler age, when they listen to their first children's books being read to them at home. The chosen research goal, through the research method of open interviews, namely with teachers, students and a child psychologist with experience in a pedagogical-psychological consultancy, is to map the factors thanks to which children can naturally gradually learn to be independent readers. The method of content analysis was used to analyze the data from the interviews. The results show that gender plays an important role in reading motivation, with girls preferring romantic stories and boys preferring adventure and action stories. Furthermore, the illustrations play an important role, helping to develop the imagination of the readers. And...
